I want to use pings to check the availability of multiple servers I monitor using a proxy. Now, I have installed fping on my proxy server and also on my application server (Not sure if it works correct, permission wise on app server). I have still not tested whether it works or not (will do tomorrow), I have some questions:
1) Does fping need to be installed on both app and proxy server? I guess only on proxy but want to be sure.
2) If I do not need it on app server, how do I clean this message from App servers logs, and why do I see it? (At least one of '/usr/sbin/fping', '/usr/sbin/fping6' must exist. Both are missing in the system.)
(I have deleted the fpinglocation=..., since I realised I probably don't need it)
