How should I interpret this graph?

I am having problems with agent.ping during last hours. So I checked the latest data graph for it and it displays the graph I am attaching.

The question is: Why if there are failed agent pings as displayed on the graph as a discontinuous line, the MIN value indicator that appears below has a value of 1 when 0 is expected?

Thanks in advance for your clarification.

The answer is: agent.ping did not fail on that period.

What happened was zabbix server could not collect this data on the blank area of your graph. This does not means that agent.ping fails. But, zabbix server did not receive any value.

If you look into Latest Data page, select agent.ping simple graph and change dropdown box to values, you'll see only 1 value.

Well, now I'm a bit confused. I'll explain better my interpretation and environment details:

There is an agent.ping's trigger that alerts that "Zabbix agent is unavailable" if there is no data during latest 5 mins. I get those notifications, so I check it and I found that it reallt did not receive data.

I should supose that the fact of no receiving data is a problem and that should not happen at all, since data is expected to be collected, and then I'm called to put attention to that condition.

If no data has been collected, why "agent.ping" will return 1 as a value, doesn't it make sense to report it as 0? When is it supposed to return 0 if not?

The fact of not receiving data for last 5 mins is something expected to ocurr normally?
