    New to Zabbix - I can't seem to get a server to communicate with the Zabbix Server

    Hi guys,

    New to Zabbix so my issue may be something I'm overlooking. I've confirmed I've matched the host name with what's in the hostname in the Zabbix console. The PSK keys are correct. Firewalls have the right inbound/outbound rules.

    Any thoughts on why this guy isn't phoning home? I provided what's in the agentd.log file below. I appreciate your insight here! Thank you!

    I don't use keys, so bear with me. I saw that same error on my setup as well, but I've made so many changes since, not sure what worked.

    Make sure your:

    Hostname=<is exactly the same as is defined on the server (case also)>
    ServerActive=<z_server_ip>:10051
    Server=<z_server_ip>
    SourceIP=<windows_server>
    ListenIP=<windows_server>
    ListenPort=10050
    Include=C:\Program Files\Zabbix Agent\zabbix_agentd\*.conf

      Hello!
      1348:20200407:091849.220 active check configuration update from [2.124.1.80:10051] started to fail (cannot connect to [[2.124.1.800]:10051]: (null)) - please check address in your config. Looks like it can not connect to host 2.124.1.800

          Thanks for your replies everyone! I put in a random IP that I'm not using haha but nice catch anyway! I'll look into your suggestions and come with feedback and outcomes afterwards.

            If you want to hide IP please use kind of X.X.X.X and Y.Y.Y.Y. You showed a part of a log with numbers, you've got an answer based on this log. Can you show your agent config (with no addresses)? Especially TLS part. I guess it can be the issue.

              Thank you everyone for the insight. The issue was a mistype in my firewall rules. It's fixed now and it seems to be communcating with the Zabbix server. It doesn't seem data is being pulled it or being able to be shown, but that's another thread I may open haha!

              Thank you guys!
