Zabbix proxy still works when there is no connection with zabbix server

    Hi all,

I am going to install Zabbix proxy for our branches but some times there is no connection between these branches and headquarters because of internet connection, during this disconnection period they need to monitor their networks and access to GUI of their zabbix , Is its proxy server is the right solution? I hope you could help me with this matter?

    Thanks in advance

The solution is correct when using the correct settings
    HistoryCacheSize / HistoryIndexCacheSize / ProxyOfflineBuffer

thank you so much for your reply, but I think those branches can not see GUI Zabbix of their network, Is it true? They need to monitor from GUI ZABBIX when they are disconnect from headquarters

The web interface requires a connection to the zabbix database and server. Of course, if the division has no connection with their location - no gui at all.
I'm sorry that I didn't read the question right away

You can install another server in the branches and configure agents to work with multiple servers. These servers will have their own settings and objects. The branches will work with its own server - you with your own.

Again Thank you, but headquarter can not manage or access to the branches . is it true? or is it kind of master-slave architecture?
one on our goal was centralized our monitoring systems, so with this solution, we can not fulfill our goal

Centralization of monitoring means that ALL management comes from the center. In branches, no one manages anything and does not have access to the zabbix gui.
Data is collected by a proxy in the branch and transmitted to the Central zabbix server. If the connection with the Central server is lost, data is accumulated by the proxy. and can be sent to the server when the connection is resumed.
Since the server is responsible for generating events and sending notifications (not a proxy!) there will be no action until the server receives data from the branch.
