    Server and proxy performance graphs

Setting up a new Zabbix 2.2.7 environment with 1 server + 3 proxies.
All on RHEL6. Server uses Postgres 9.3, proxies are sqlite.

All agents in this test environment are handled by ONE proxy (CHI-01)
We also have 80 hosts, that are just being pinged, also by proxy CHI-01.
    >> The other 2 proxies are just sitting idle <<

When i look at the performance graphs, it looks as if the server and the 3 proxies are all doing the exact same thing.
In the attached screenshot the server is on top, with 3 proxies feeding into it.

    Is this normal behaviour ?

    thanks

Yeah, I know what you mean. It is one of the recent versions where they started doing internal metrics gathering for the actual proxies themselves. I am not sure which version they implemented it in though. It may be a 2.4 version.

To collect the actual graphs, the data from proxy have to be collect by him.
For example, CHI-01 proxy has to be monitored by CHI-01 proxy,
FAR-01 proxy has to be monitored by FAR-01 proxy, etc.

        Interesting..

I have completely stopped the "FAR-01" proxy server an hour ago, and the graph is still populating the same metrics as the others..

Looks like all PROXY self-monitoring graphs get their data from the SERVER metrics ?

Can anyone confirm this has been fixed in 2.4 ?

Do you mind to show us the screenshot of your Host configuration screen?
I mean, the list with Names, where we can see, which Proxy are using for monitoring servers & proxy.

My part of screenshot is attached.
Also I attached the part of summary screen where you can see two different graphs.

            Thanks Aleksey !

You pointed me in the right direction.
The proxy should be monitored by the agent that is installed *ON* the same system.
I had the agents pointing to the Zabbix server first..

            All's good now
