Hi everyone,
I'm trying to install a Zabbix Agent ONLY on Amazon Linux which is basically a RHEL 7(latest). I have started using the Zabbix Server 2.2.3 after launching it from the AWS Marketplace. In the past I installed successfully 2 Zabbix servers on different platforms of linux(Ubuntu and Centos 2.4)but never actually moved forward with testing hosts and clients.
I don't understand why is it so complicated to install only the agent ? I want the agent only...for 2.2 on rhel 7. It doesn't mention on the manual how to install the agent only(refers you to the downloads page and tell you to use repos/sources/packages but with non updated links), but also the server and mysql, etc'. Other sources within Zabbix are referring to old versions(1.6.7) which have different repo's....non updated locations within the OS. Why is it so difficult to install an agent???
To add users/groups and edit the conf file on each machine? really? doesn't seem reasonable......
