Bandwidth Utilization - Is Zabbix averaging data?

If I graph data for the last 12 hours, it shows several spikes up to about 50Mbp/s. If I pull more data (say, 30 days, those spikes go away. Is zabbix averaging the data? How do I stop that from happening?

I need to see when those spikes are occurring.

Read up on History vs. trends and then adjust the particular items settings for history and/or trends. Keep in mind that this can have a very significant impact on your database storage requirements.
