How to define a Host that only support snmp traps in zabbix

    Dears

The device that I am monitoring only supports traps but does not support snmp protocol

Can I define this device in zabbix as host with snmp interface on port 162 (trap port) ?

    Thanks

I'm assuming you mean that the device will alert you by sending SNMP traps.

In that case, setting the interface to SNMP and changing the port to 162 in the interface definition works fine. In cases where I've had to define a host that will SNMP TRAP to Zabbix, I've just left the port as 161. It doesn't really matter, though your method serves as a good reminder that the host is sending TRAPs only. Making a note of that in the host's "Description" field might also be helpful to your coworkers.
