How do I configure a screen?

I'm having trouble setting up a screen. This is what I'm doing.

1. In the web gui, Configuration -> Screens -> Create Screens
2. Enter values for name (test2), columns (2), rows (2).
3. Click save

So then, how do I take a graph from one under
Monitoring-> Latest Data, say, Processor load? I get the feeling that this is the idea of the zabbix configuration on the front page of the website, which seems to show a 2x6 screen of graphs:



Also, in an attempt to recreate what's on the front page, I try creating my own graphs, using Configuration -> Graphs -> Create Graphs, but again, there's no way to configure which data source(s) the graph is using, etc. As a result, I can't set up graphs with multiple data sources and different colors.

Have you started collecting any data yet? You will only be able to choose a data source for items that are collecting information... you can go to latest Data under Monitoring and choose the host from the right side to see if zabbix is collecting any information.

Once you are collecting data, on the screen configuration page, you can choose "simple graph" for the resource and then choose the item that you'd like to graph for the parameter, In this case you can choose processor load for that particular host and you should be set to go.

Well, I am collecting data, i.e. under Monitoring -> Latest Data -> and click on any of the graphs links, it shows lines of real data.

I'm not sure which screen you meant by the screen configuration page, but I don't get any sort of menu to choose 'simple graph' for a resource. Here are screenshots:

Again, no such choices available. Please advise to what I'm missing.

Click on name of a screen in the list, not on "Edit".
