    Monitoring Routing table

Hello guys, I'm newbie here as a Zabbix user, lately I've been request to implement a monitoring function for the routing table for each of the routers that we have in our company. We would like to know if all the routes are on the routing table, if something is missing and if there are any flaping routes. I have seen similar functionality about this on SolarWinds, but unfortunately found nothing related to zabbix on the internet. Have you guys know any template or funcionality on Zabbix development maybe used in order to implement this. Have any of you already implemented something similar? Any guidelines that a have to follow before?

    Best regards,

More important question than "how?" in case of monitoring something like Cisco route is "what do you want to monitor?"
Typical router provides sometimes hundreds of thousands metric over SNMP which monitoring always does not make any sense sometimes.
And because bandwidth of the monitored OIDs is usually limited by bugs in SNMP agent and./or using encryption (in case of using SNMPv3) you need carefully choose what do you want to monitor.
