Stop loggin unnecessary data being collected based on SNMP collector

Hi, I used SNMP to discover all the ports on a number of routers and switches resulting in 600 or so potential names under these hosts.
How do I stop logging all this data - I only care about a dozen of the 600 so it seems to me its just chewing up my SD Card unnecessarily .... presumably there is a way to ignore them but I cant find it so far

    Thanks

    Andrew

can you be more specific of how you did configure it ? did you create condition ?

Hi patrickdenis - I simply used SNMP and pointed Zabbix at a number of network devices and hence ended up with upwards of 217 items monitored, per device ... I am assuming thats going to burn through my flash card on my Raspberry Pi that hosts the Zabbix Server hence the question ...

Since the post I found I can go through and disable all the items I don't care about and I'm assuming that will reduce the amount of historical data stored - is that a fair assumption?

HI, which template that you used for the network interface discovery? you can filter out only the interface that you wish to discovery by using the marco.

I just used "Template Net Cisco IOS SNMPv2" and it found 217 items for an 891 router for example

Hadn't explored the macro tab so thanks for the heads up...

I manually disabled all the items I don't care about so presumably that also stops storing of that data...

            Yes, disabled works as well.
"Template Net Cisco IOS SNMPv2" template is linked to "Template Module Interfaces SNMPv2" for the network discovery.
You can modify the marco in the "Template Module Interfaces SNMPv2" example : {$NET.IF.IFNAME.MATCHES} = ^gi[3,8]*$ for the screenshot above.

Can use the General > Regular Expressions to try out before implementing it.
