    Zabbix API history Timezone?

    Hi folks,

we'll eventually be expanding our Zabbix infrastructure to cover multiple timezones...

Does anyone know how the clock (epoch) values are stored in the history_* mySql tables versus a Zabbix API call?

are they stored using the Zabbix Server's Local Timezone, or always stored UTC? and does the Zabbix API call make the timezone translation?

I'm planning on keeping individual monitored server's timezones in a MACRO so I can translate if required, would appreciate any input or feedback that anyone might have had in implementing a multi-timezone zabbix environment.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Clock values in history are UTC.

Unix time (a.k.a. POSIX time or Epoch time) is a system for describing instants in time, defined as the number of seconds that have elapsed since 00:00:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), Thursday, 1 January 1970

Zabbix API also uses UTC timestamp.

    Best Regards,
    Ingus
