Hi,

I am planning to do a POC of zabbix. i have downloaded the iso/vmdk/ovf template from the site. ISO adidnt work and OVF failed with hardware compatability error. so converted vmdk for ESXi usage. able to get the VM running, but when i tried to assign static IP, its throwing the attached error. below are the ESXi details.

The "systemctl" output you've included doesn't include the information that would be needed to determine what the problem might be. It tells you additional commands you can run, to get more detailed information. What do those commands output? If you use the "systemctl status" command, include the "-l" option to status to get long output; otherwise it too might truncate or hide information that would be useful to diagnose what the actual problem is.

after doing a lot of google search, we have found an artcile which says to add ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000" in zabbix.vm file. offcourse, i used VMDK file as ISO is not working. seems its a known issue with cloned vmdk images. this is missing in the zabbix documentation.
