Hi all!

Does anybody know how to put hosts to different groups during vmware discovery process depending on {#VM.NAME} (VM host visible name)?

For ex,
hosts with name like SAP* -> SAP group
hosts with name like *SQL* -> DBs group

and so on?

Is it possible?

Generally speaking, maybe this is not so necessary, I'll describe the whole task
I need to give RO permissions to users, which are responsible just for their own hosts. There's no way to give permissions just to separate hosts so I have to give permissions to hostgroups. Those hosts are discovered with vmware discovery poller and are all in the one common group (by default, in "Virtual machines").

PS Some workaround is to import vmware hosts like a regular hosts (and put that import script to cron to run on an hourly basis) but I believe there should be a more flexible way with discovery rules.
