    uploading images

    Hey all I have been trying to upload a background image to my server and everytime I do this I get no image so it looks like the image is never getting uploaded. I also ran an updatedb then locate on my image and no dice there, so with that said is there any special magic that Zabbix does for uploading? I have this box hidden behind my firewall (firewall acts as forwarder) so this might be a problem but I want to make sure what Zabbix is epecting here.

    Thanks all

        It sounds like it is your PHP installation, not zabbix installation that does not support JPG compression. zabbix just uses (or attempts to use) whatever JPG support you have in PHP.

          Nod Dan I didn't read the error that close, would have seen that then. I wonder why Gentoo dodesn't build in that support? I need to take a peak at my Make.conf and make sure I have that added in.

          Thanks Dan,

            I had the same problem, but in my case i was missing some PHP modules (GD or GD2).
            After the instaling the modules it worked fine.
            I tested it with JPEG and PNG.

              Ahh I see well I will take a look there thanks for the info.

              Now on a side note has anyone had a problem with maps just not showing up? I have looked through the forums and it was suggested that I delete recreate the map and still no dice I keep getting this:

              No system map with sysmapid=[2]

              Any pointers here would be great.

              Thanks

                I'm wondering if it is connected to you not having the graphics support in PHP.....?

                        Dan you are talking about the ini file correct? I don't see a specific section denoting module but the extension_dir is set as so:

                        ; Directory in which the loadable extensions (modules) reside.
                        extension_dir = "/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/"

                            Not sure what the deal is here, but to me that kinda looks like a bug maybe inside the map.php script or something funky is going on if anyone has a clue here please let me know.
