    Bandwidth monitoring question

    Hi,

Is it possible to set up Zabbix to monitor individual ports on a switch, in order to monitor bandwidth on specific (multiple) TCP/UDP ports (instead of running the Zabbix agent on individual workstations)?

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Rmon

That depends primarily on the functionality of your switch, not Zabbix.

If your switch supports RMON (or something similar), you should be fine. See ftp://ftp.rfc-editor.org/in-notes/rfc3577.txt
