Zabbix Server & Proxy - Parititioning mysql tables

    Hello,
I am a new member in our team assigned to help support our zabbix environment. It currently is out of date and I have been tasked with upgrading it.
We currently have two environments. One with a zabbix server running v3.0 with mysql database. I have successfully partitioned this database and upgraded zabbix to 4.4.
The second environment we have has a zabbix server running v3.4 with mysql database as well as 5 proxy servers. Four of the proxy servers are using mysql and one is using sqlite3.
I want to partition the database as well as upgrade zabbix server & proxies to v4.4.
My question is what do I need to do with respect to partitioning on the proxy databases? I cannot find any specific information that indicates I need to or not to parition the tables?
Do I just partition the zabbix server database and upgrade the server and proxies to 4.4?
Thank you in advance for any information.

You don't need to use partitioning for proxies. The proxy does not store much data in the database in normal mode. It sends everything to the server. This makes it easier to use sqlite.
