    Zabbix server and proxy databases

    Hello
I would like to know if it is necessary for Zabbix server and Zabbix proxy, which are running on separate machines, to have different types of databases? Specificially if the Zabbix server runs with PosgreSQL, can Zabbix proxy run with MySQL? Zabbix proxy is intended to be used for receiving SNMP traps

The proxy and the main server do not need to use the same type of database. You can freely use a different database backend on your proxy from what you use on your main server.
