Zabbix-agent version issues with debian 10

Hello,

I tried installing zabbix agent 3.4 on my debian server using the steps provided before. However after installation, i noticed zabbix 4.0 was installed instead. This is an issue because my existing zabbix serve runs on zabbix server 3.4 and upgrading it will be a lot of troubles as i already have a lot of servers configured on it. Kindly advise on how to go about downloading and installing zabbix agent 3.4 specifically on debian 10

I recommend using Zabbix 3.0 agent. Zabbix 3.4 ended support in March 2018, so I think that packages for Debian 10 (Buster) released after that will not be released.
Zabbix 3.0 has a long support period called LTS, so it seems that a package for Debian 10 (Buster) has been released. The new features of Zabbix 3.4 are not available, but you will probably be able to use them within the functionality of Zabbix 3.0.

If you really want to use the 3.4 agent, consider compiling from source.
