I Need Help With Monitoring stackable switch.

    Hello there,

Im running SLES11 SP2, using monitoring tool Zabbix 2.2.6, I would like to monitor 2 Cisco sg2000 switch(Stacked), but it have a same ip address, my question is

    1. How am i suppose to grab data from switch 1/port 1 and switch2/port1 ?

    2. If both switch have same ip address, it will occur conflict to my template right? because both switch 1/port 1 and switch2/port1 is on and i cant get any data from it using this(attachment)

3.Should i grab port status using OID for stackable switch?

    4.if key = ifInOctets ,oid = 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.x , should i put x with switch port number? should i use 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.1/1 for SW1/g1 and 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.2/1 for SW2/g1 ?

    pleasee i need answer

Normal the switces will appear as one (logical) unit.
I would suggest that you use the "Template SNMP Device" template It will auto discover ports etc.

      Hello Erik,

Thanks for your reply, i've tried the "Template SNMP Device, but its not working. It unable to detect all switch2(24+4) + switch1(24+4) = 56 ports, only system name, device name and POE

Sorry try to use "Template SNMP interfaces"

If this do not work try to make an snmpwalk - it should provide you with the oid information you need:

        Hope this helps you.
