    Set Graph Titles - Port Descriptions

    Hi,

    Am looking at adding into a graph title the port description, I found the following information that SNMP can be used and the following done;

    To add your interface's descriptions go to "Configuration -> Templates -> Template SNMP Interfaces -> Discovery -> Graph prototypes", choose the "Traffic graph" and use this string as graph's name :
    Traffic on interface {#SNMPVALUE} : {{HOSTNAME}:ifAlias[{#SNMPVALUE}].last(0)}
    Link

    But some of the switches am using are not fully manageable (HP V1810-48G), so am unable to set port descriptions.
    Is there away to do this on a graph by graph basis manually?

    Thanks
    Karl

    Hello,

    Is there no way to do this, or even and a manually description on a "Screen"?

    Thanks

      Hi,

      I have been able to do a work around which will be fine for the main links, would not be good for a large network that is changing alot, but then again you would ensure you have fully managed switches.

      Going to;

      Configuration --> Hosts --> HOSTNAME --> Graphs

      Create Graph
      Add Items
      Incoming and Outgoing traffic on Interface

      Here I can add a more meaningful name.
