Howdy!
For ages we are using Nagios and LibreNMS for our monitoring needs. It always worked like a charm. But to be fair Nagios is still the same as 15 years ago and is hard to manage in the end. So I took the step to dive in Zabbix. So far I have the triggers/graphs done as we have it with Nagios/LibreNMS and that was pretty easy I have to say. Got some exotic custom Nagios checks left, but will manage it too :-) So far i'm very impressed by Zabbix <3
One of the things i'm stuck on is the the Notification period and Checking period in Nagios. I had defined some groups like "Out of Office" and "24x7" and then I just attached these to a host or service check. Great thing was that I could add holidays days also just to the out of office "group". I found out that triggers can be timebased, but i'm really looking for a way to make it easier to manage (like some kind of alias").
What would you guys advice to do? Would be very grateful if anyone could help me to the right direction!
