WsusPool IIS monitiring is it possible?

Hi,
is it possible to do monitoring of WsusPool?
It is part of IIS and responsible for normal operation of WSUS?
The Microsoft server is Windows Server 2016, the WSUS is here.

The Zabbix server is 4.0.9.

Custom template or some script?

How we can do monitoring of WsusPool?

Upgrade to version 5, in the new version do you have all needed for monitoring IIS. I use for check and start IIS pool when failed and down.

Is it safelly to do upgrade from 4.0.9 to 5.0?

Or is it possible to rebuild template for Zabbix 5 to Zabbix 4 with customization ?

Could you show me triggers for WSUSPool of IIS template for Zabbix 5.0?

I find the template for IIS 8, 8.5, 10 and it is compatible with Zabbix 4.x.x, the template name is Template App IIS Service.xml but I am not sure is it usable for my case with WSUSpool .

Well, upgrade is possible need a little of paciencie only. I upgraded from 4.0.24 to 5.0.3 and work fine. I try to pass some template from 5 to 4 and dont work, finally take the path to upgrade. Do you have better templates and more metrics to use.

Could you show me your template of IIS in Zabbix 5 ?
And really there WSUSPool is included for monitoring?



I find this template for Zabbix 4.0.9
Microsoft IIS 7.5, 8.0, 8.5 and 10 Services, Ports and Performance Counters.

Could you confirm that these templates both include WSUSpool monitoring?


I can't upgrade Zabbix easy.
I need approval for upgrade Zabbix, action plan of upgrade procedure and rollback scenario but before all formalities I have to be sure that the template for Zabbix 5 is better than previously template.


I need IIS template for Microsoft Server 2012 R2 2016 and 2019.

the IIS Template discover the pool for .net, In my case check WSUS and other VM was are using IIS and .net pool.

Could you tell me more about your upgrade procedure?
How much hosts are connected to your Zabbix with snmp ?
In my case the hosts are too much, is it possible migration process to break something old in older templates, modules, and databases?
How are you feel in your practice and experience with upgrade process from 4 to 5?
What could I expect, such as difficulties and problems in the upgrade process?

Hi!

the monitoring mysql DB change, the old templates in my case still working but i change the standar old monitoring agent template to the new format. Upgrade all agent is the best option after upgrade the zabbix-server.
snmp is not a problem, the new version include new templates like Template Server Dell iDRAC SNMP and work well

The upgrade require PHP72, in my case use remi repo, but for centos need force install some packages (minor issue)

The upgrade failed when start zabbix-server, is not possible to complete DB upgrade when look the log file (fixed searching)

In simple words the upgrade is easy, some minor issue but simple.
