    Agent availability in Active status

    Sorry if this has already been covered, in google and other troubleshooting I have not been able to find anything...

    I am configuring devices to be monitored, I would like to use Active checks only, preventing the server from reaching out. The problem is when I add the host to the zabbix server the the agent never appears as "Available". Data is being gathered, however the host still shows as "Unknown" in the default dashboard.
    Client:

    Zabbix Client 4.0.4 on BSD system (raspberry PI) - This same situation happens even on newer CentOS/RHEL client installs as well..

    Client Config:

    #Server=
    StartAgents=0
    ServerActive=<my zabbix server IP>

    Server:
    Zabbix 5.0.3

    Host is configured with the following templates (1st attachment)

    Host agent status (4th attachment)

    Status from Configuration->Hosts panel (2nd attachment)

    Host definition screen (3rd attachment)

    If I set Template Module Zabbix Agent from Template Module Zabbix Agent Active all is right with the world... but I am trying to get a better grasp on the Active agent configuration.

    I know it is something stupid... but for the life of me I cannot articulate the issue enough to get search results.

    Note: This same situations happens with any client I try. Using zabbix agent active the system never shows the agent as available

    Agents that work in passive mode will show red or green “ZBX” icon in the agent status bar and agents with active mode will show grey “ZBX” icon. Find out more about: Active vs Passive Zabbix agent
