Application Alerts still received during maintenance periods

Dear All,

We have some monitors for some business applications that are being shutdown daily every night for a couple of hours.

In order to avoid getting alerts during the downtime hours - we created some maintenance periods and selected the servers that host these application

In order to suppress only alerts related to the business application (not alerts coming from operation system) - we added tag at the application trigger and updated the maintenance period with this tag

However alert is still received during the downtime...What could be the reason ?
