    Monitor a Single Fiber Router

I have almost finished my internal network at home. I have a router, model Fiberhome HG6245G, and it's returned for me in Discovered Hosts lists, but I want to monitor that equipment with mora details. I've followed these steps:
    - Create a host with the Router IP
    - Associate the default and generic SNMP template to host.

So, when I go to Latest Data, nothing shows about router. I read about mibs, and copied some generic mibs to /usr/share/snmp/mibs. But when I run snmpwalk -v2c -c public IPRouter, no response. I've logged in Router's home page and I didn't found SNMP optiom button and similar..

    Anyone has a suggestion?

    Thanks in advance.

Not all consumer network equipment supports SNMP, and even when the model should have it, sometimes ISPs install custom firmware that disables it or "hides it". I wasn't able to find any information online about whether that particular model supports SNMP, so you may have to do some research, talk to whomever you're renting it from or you bought it from, to try find out.

If it should support SNMP, there may be something that's needs to be done to enable it, and it may default to something other than "public" for the read-only community.

Thanks for the giving info. I have walked to get some information about SNMP enabling on this router, but I have the premisse that the ISP or my last NetProvider has disabled this function.

I'm searching more about. In al cases, thanks a lot!
