How to check if SNMP is enable on Zabbix?

    Hi, good afternoon!

I have just made Zabbix 2.4 installation in Ubuntu by package, but when I add an item from a 3Com Switch 4400, inside Zabbix web interface, SNMP display "Availabilty" is always gray. How can I check if SNMP is enabled on my Zabbix server or enable Switch monitoring by SNMP?

    Thanks!

One for-sure method - It tells you at the very beginning of the zabbix_server.log when you start the Zabbix server process.

Do an snmpwalk test to your switch from the Zabbix server.

Maybe your community string is incorrect.

Hi, thanks for the reply! I have checked zabbix_server.log and SNMP monitoring is enabled. I have also did snmpwalk to test, but still SNMP icon in Zabbix is gray. Do you have any other ideias to get this working? Thank you very much!

Do you mind to show screenshot of Host configuration for 3-COM switch?
