Monitoring VMWare

I am following the document https://www.zabix.com/documentation/2.4 chapter 9.

I have changed the settings in the zabbix_server.conf file no problem, but when setting up a discovery rule, there is no simple discovery.

Configuration -> Discovery -> New rule

Does not come close to the sample screen shot in the document.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There are two different things in Zabbix - Discovery and Low Level Discovery (LLD). For VmWare you need LLD, you can find this under Configuration -> Hosts...

What would I put in for agent interfaces (I would assume leave it as 127.0.0.1)

I am using vCenter Appliance 5.5.0

Exactly what URL would I put in https://IPofAppliance/

did not work, nor did /sdk
