Copy Server configuration to another site

    Hi,

I would like to create a copy of a Server at multiple sites. This includes the maps, displays, and proxy list.

The intention is also to keep each site the same, meaning, when we change one of the Servers (for example a map or adding a host), this change would be forwarded to the other sites.

We are using a proxy at each site for collection of data, if this affects the situation.

    Thanks

I'm assuming that this is for disaster recovery? What I would do it do the install on the second server just as you did the same, name it the exaxt same so its identical in every way. Then enable master / master mysql replication. This should work just fine.

Everything is going to get polled twice and the data will double because of this.

Or have the zabbix-server stopped and the zabbix-agent stopped so it doesn't collect any data and you could write a script that if the master #1 was down to start the server, Web page would be up and it would say that its not collecting data but since the other side was and you are using master / master mysql replication it would be current data.

Just dump all tables except history*, trends*, events, acknowledges, ids and import such dump to another database.
