Update Notifications issue between admins and normal zabbix users

    Zabbix 5.0.4

When an admin acknowledges a problem and the update notification is sent to a normal zabbix user with limited permissions, the email message says:

"Inaccessible user acknowledged, commented and closed problem at 2020.10.06 10:11:14."

When the normal zabbix user acknowledges the problems, the admin see's their name instead of "Inaccessible user".

    How can I fix this?

I believe this is bug. Only way I found to resolve this is to set user type to Super admin (User or Admin types didn't work) for the corresponding Role. Hower this gives user access to all host groups which might not be suitable.

I agree it seems like a bug and the workaround is not reasonable.

I was about to post a bug report but found related tickets. So it turns out that this is actually a feature - users must belong to the same group in order to see each other.

Solution for me was just to create another group "All" without additional permissions, and add all users to it, which has solved the issue for me.
