Hi, i make my first steps evaluating zabbix.
Till now the most like autodiscovery and templating works in a way i can understand and deal with it. Beside the autodiscovery i have gap i do not understand. May there is someone who has an idea to overcome that gap.
As many others we have hundreds of servers we like to migrate to another monitoring solution. The JMX interfaces on our machines are secured and reside on fixed ports. As POC we was able to automate also the bean discovery.
For the Java / JMX monitoring almost any templates and discovery rules need an existing JMX host interface. Till know i did not find a way to add this interface by an discovery rule. Is there no way adding an interface without doing by hand?
I've searched the forum and manuals and do not find any hint to discover such interface or add it e.g. by action based on an discovery event. Feels somehow incomplete compared to the capabilities of LLD of JMX Beans.
Is there an approved way to automatically add an interface by discovery or statical on fixed port?
