Upgrade Zabbix from 1.8.20 to 2.4?

Is it possible to upgrade Zabbix directly from 1.8.20 to 2.4 when using 2 systems.

So on 1 system there is a working Zabbix 1.8.20 and on the other system is a clean new 2.4 version.

Is it possible to migratie in one step using export/import and a upgrade script?

As I understand you will need to step to 2.x first and then 2.4.
.... You could start with a 1.8 system on your new host - restore your database on this and then doing the update here in 2 steps.

If it has to be in two steps more logical is (i think)

      Export database from 1.8 version
Import and upgrade on new machine in 2.0
Upgrade to 2.4 on new machine

Second question. Is there much difference between 2.0 and 2.4 foor a double upgrade?

        "Export database from 1.8 version
Import and upgrade on new machine in 2.0"
Yes - you should be able to do this, because there is a special upgrade script for the database upgrade - I did not remember this.

(In 2.0 -> 2.4 the database will be upgraded when you start the new 2.4 server proceess (check the zabbix server log).)

I am not sure I understand your second question - sorry. Are you asking about features or?
