    5.2beta2 - Discovery Update interval

    Hi,

I'am currently testing 5.2beta2 and was setting up a network discovery rule with an update interval of 1m scanning for new hosts.

Shouldn't this rule fired up every minute because it seems it gets called only once after saving the rule.

I'am doing a tcpdump on the zabbix server for a non discovered host and was under the impression that the server is looking every "update interval" for that address which is part of the network range to scan.

Any idea what I'am doing wrong here?

    Thanks.

I left it alone for a while and I was able to see discovery attempts at 17:03, 17:23, 17:39, 17:54 and 18:10, which does not really complies to the update interval I configured.

I guess I was somewhat wrong, for discovering new hosts in two /24 networks it takes about 10 minutes (3-4 seconds per address). This seems a bit slow just for checking if there is a Zabbix agent running and having 16 Discoverers started. While watching the tcpdump I would say it's not using more than 2 Discoverers at the same time.

      Anything I can optimize here?
