    Notification Usergroup, subscribe to *all*?

    Hi there,

I have some notification users inside a "notification" user group.

Is there a way to automatically add "read only" permissions to all hostgroups?

My problem is that, each and every time I add a new Hostgroup, I need to remember to add the permissions for that hostgroup inside my "notifications" usergroup, or else my Notification Actions don't work.

Aside from using the API to re-add all hostgroup to that user's group permission, is there a way to do this in the GUI, out-of-the-box?

    Thanks!

    Gleepwurp.

    Hi Gleepwurp,

One possible workaround I can think of is to add a new host group (e.g. "All hosts") which contains, guess what, all hosts. Since one host can belong to multiple host groups that should not be a problem. And then you assign read-only permissions on host group "All hosts" to "notification" user group.

In such way you don't have to remember to add host group to permissions but you have to remember to add new hosts to one additional host group. Maybe this way works for you better.

    Best Regards,
    Ingus
