Zabbix 2.4 Virtual VMware Appliance Issue

I downloaded the most recent version of Zabbix 2.4 from a virtual vmware appliance perspective and uploaded into our latest vmware ESX 5.5.0, 2068190 environment and attempted to mount the .vmdk file with no luck.

    I receive the following error:

Failed to start the virtual machine.
    Module DevicePowerOn power on failed.
Unable to create virtual SCSI device for scsi0:0, '/vmfs/volumes/Zabbix/Zabbix_2.4_x86_64_13.1.x86_64-2.4.1.vmdk'
Failed to open disk scsi0:0: Unsupported or invalid disk type 7. Ensure that the disk has been imported.

    Thank you

Zabbix 2.4 Appliance with vmware 5.5.0

I'm trying to boot the virtual appliance created on the Zabbix download page. I simply unzipped the files and copied the .vmx and .vmdk files in place then mounted the .vmx file into my inventory.

I then receive the following error:

Failed to start the virtual machine.
    Module DevicePowerOn power on failed.
Unable to create virtual SCSI device for scsi0:0, '/vmfs/volumes/Zabbix/Zabbix_2.4_x86_64_13.1.x86_64-2.4.1.vmdk'
Failed to open disk scsi0:0: Unsupported or invalid disk type 7. Ensure that the disk has been imported.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    thx
