Windows service names for discovery exclusions not working

I'm trying to use exclusion during Windows service discovery. I'm basically copying the existing expression and just adding another one.

example: ^(CDPSvc|WbioSrvc)$

I went and removed all the discovered services after adding the exclusions but everything was rediscovered.

Is there something I'm missing or need to do also?

I've read something about 30 days until something purges but it's been way longer than that. Can anyone help tell why this doesn't work? is it even supposed to?
