I'm trying to setup Zabbix (5) to monitor ActiveMQ Artemis (2.14), which is a messaging system. Artemis has JMX available, which I've enabled. I have Zabbix server running, and an agent installed on the Artemis server (Ubuntu 18.04). I'm receiving notifications on operating system stuff, CPU, disk, etc. In the Configuration > Hosts area I see that only ZBX is enabled. So I need to enable JMX and start receiving the JMX data, I think.
This is where I'm at in the documentation: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...jmx_monitoring Am I in the right place? Am I trying to add an Item to Zabbix to get the JMX information, message counts and so on? This doc has me struggling. It's for version 5, I'm running version 5, but the UIs look different.
My goal here is to setup monitoring and notifications. So, for example, if a queue gets filled to a certain number of messages, an alert goes out. Maybe an email. Is this a good job for Zabbix?
