    Triggers & Actions

    Hello everyone,

    I've upgraded our monitoring system from 1.1beta2 to 1.1.1 and am trying to get my head around the new look actions. I have triggers and actions enabled for a particular item which is working fine when the state changes.

    However when I alter the trigger to deliberately call a action I get the alert saying "processor load high on hostname : ON" but when I change the trigger back I get the alert that still says "processor load high on hostname: ON" rather than saying OFF.

    It was really useful to check the alerts were working in the past by manually altering the trigger threshold which no longer seems possible.

    What am I doing wrong ?

    Also when adding a trigger I used to be able to look at one trigger and then alter some settings and add it or update the trigger, now I can only "save" it which isn't as convienent.

    And is there a way to enable the logging of the SQL to a file so I can understand the DB structure better.

    Thanks

    You might want to post your trigger and item.

      More Info

      Sorry I should of provided more detail.

      Trigger:
      ({sc-pop2:ProcessorLoad.min(300)}>6)|({sc-pop2:ProcessorLoad.last(0)}>15)

      Action:

      Host = "sc-pop2"
      Trigger severity >= "Not classified"
      Trigger value = "OFF"
      Trigger value = "ON"

      The Item is a snmp get of the following:

      UCD-SNMP-MIB::laLoadInt.1

      If I change the trigger to cause a action I get the "ON" action as I'd expect but when I put the trigger back I get another "ON".

      For example I changed the trigger to be:
      "({sc-pop2:ProcessorLoad.last(0)}<15)"

      Which generates a "ON", when I changed it to "({sc-pop2:ProcessorLoad.last(0)}<15)"

      I get a "ON" as well.

      Hope that helps.

        Hello,

        I think this problem is caused by this other slight alteration.
