    Zabbix Proxy Active Checks on VMs

    Hi guys,

    Just wondering why the green highlight of ZBX icon doesn't appear on the Availability column under Monitoring > Hosts but there are graphs and the latest data being recorded. I'm doing active checks using Proxy in Zabbix.

    I'm doing checks on a Linux VM and using the template Template OS Linux by Zabbix agent active.

    Thanks!

    Taken from the link:
    Note that active Zabbix agent items do not affect host availability.
    Zabbix server sets the host availability icon to gray (unknown status) for the corresponding agent interface (Zabbix, SNMP, IPMI, JMX) if:
    ...
    there are only active Zabbix agent items;
    ...
    So it is expected behavior. I wonder why it does that though. It doesn't make sense.
