    Sysobjectid lookup

    I'm not sure if I am missing something really obvious, but I am trying to figure out how to get zabbix (4.4) to lookup the sysobjectid in the appropriate MIB. I would then like to be able to insert this into an inventory field on the host.

    with net-snmp I can do this to determine what kind of switch I am polling.
    Code:
    % snmpget -v2c -c CYKpublic my-cisco-switch sysObjectID.0
    SNMPv2-MIB::sysObjectID.0 = OID: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.1.2066
    % snmptranslate -mSNMPv2-SMI -mCISCO-PRODUCS-MIB SNMPv2-SMI::entteprises.9.1.2066
    CISCO-PRODUCTS-MIB::cat36xxstack
    Do I need to write some sort of external script to wrap snmptranslate in a discovery rule? It seems like there should be a better way.

Working...
