Auto-discovery of a large Mikrotik network

I am part of a volunteer team managing an amateur radio IP network (hamwan.org) composed primarily of Mikrotik routes, access points, point-to-point links covering large parts of western Washington and Oregon. Our current NMS is showing its age and we are looking to establish a more modern NMS. I believe I have a working Zabbix 5.2 installation running based on the distributed docker containers (Thanks!). My next challenge is to get auto discovery working for this network which has 100s of devices. The bulk of these are Mikrotik, but we have a smattering of other devices as well.

I have not found a good HowTo on setting this scenario up.

So far, I have a Discovery rule based on SNMP v1 that is finding my hosts on a test subnet (/24), but they only show up under Monitoring > Discovery.

I need help with the other configuration to get these hosts recognized and the standard graphs and such established. I am more than happy to document this process in a wiki or article to help the next new user.
I think first I would like to understand the high level components I need to configure (the outline) and then we can detail the specifics for each part.

The configuration already has the generic, and Mikrotik specific Template ("Mikrotik SNMP") imported.

I am also getting an error about my zabbix agent not being available. Fair enough, I haven't started that docker container yet, in part because I don't have an example of how to start that for docker based environment and how to link it with the other containers.

Based on network detection, the "action" you configured can be triggered. In which you can create hosts and attach templates to them based on the information received during detection.
