    Zabbix History

    Hi guys,

I was trying to minimize the database size , since I don't need any history of more then 1 day, 1st i did disable everything from the housekeeping and from the zabbix-server.conf and still the hdd space was shrinking pretty fast,
then i try partitioning with a script found online and now lost completely my graph data.

Anyone have a quick solution ? or if you encounter this problem ? what did you do ?

like I said I don't need any history more then 24 hours max 72 and then it can revert to 0.

Thank you in advance for your help

Disabling housekeeping will have the opposite effect; housekeeping is what clears out old historical values. Without housekeeping, a standard install (one that isn't using database partitioning) will have unbounded database growth.

If you only need 1 day of history, did you change the "History storage period" for your items, so they're only kept for 1 day? You can set a system-wide override for history storage too, if you have too many items to change. It's in Administration->General->Housekeeper , see: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...ration/general
