Linux pre-compiled agents and older debian installation

    Hello,
I have to monitor an out-of-date environment, with mostly debian 5 et 6 servers, from a brand new zabbix 5 server.
I would like to install recent agents (version 5, agent1), so i encountered the pre-compiled agents on the download page, that i wish to deploy on them.
    1. Would this "work" as i expect (as they appear to be compiled staticly) as long as i respect the kernel version and the 32/64 bit ?
    2. Could anyone point me to a script or a way to build a deb package like the official ones, so i wouldn't have to deal manually with user creation, permission, init.d service on every host (there are a lot of them) ?
    Thanks a lot.
