Zabbix proxy not working

    Zabbix proxy not working

    Hello everyone,

    I am trying to configure a zabbix proxy at a remote location. This is my first time working with a proxy.
    As far as I know I have configured everything properly.
    My proxy also comes online on my Zabbix server.

    The problem is that no values are sent to the server.

    When I look in my zabbix_proxy.log I see the following error:
    failed to update local proxy configuration copy: invalid field name "globalmacro.type"

    Both Zabbix Server and Zabbix proxy have version 5.2.1

    I have searched the entire internet but can't find anything about it.
    Hopefully someone can help me with this.

          Can you tell me what server version and proxy version you are using. Looks like the proxy is outdated.

              I found the solution on the following page:

              It's resolved now.

                  Or in other words, you have a mismatch between the server and proxy versions.
                  As it was written by CR.

                      Hello , i got the exact same problem.

                      both server and proxy server had the same version. 5.4.0.
                      OS of both server is linux ubuntu 18.04

                      I try may thing , restart from scratch 3 times.

                      firewall have their rules established .

                      Server is on main site .
                      Proxy is on distant site A , and conf as "ACTIVE"


                      This is the log , if anyone got a clue , i 'm open any time.

                      After if configure the proxy as "passive" the Zabbix server frontend still don't see it.

                              yup indeed althought i install the proxy . seems it don't go to 5.4.

                              after verification i managed to make it works .
