Zabbix Disk I/O and Processes more than 75% Busy

    Good evening,

I was wondering if anyone could help lead me in the right direction.
Every Friday around 6:30PM until around 8PM Zabbix starts throwing a bunch of alerts at me.

Disk I/O is overloaded on Zabbix Server
Zabbix alerter processes more than 75% busy
Then my email fills up with this server was unreachable for 5 mins, then a min later I get the OK.

When I go to the Zabbix server itself it usually takes a little bit to load in.
I am just not really sure where to begin looking at what might be running.

When I run top I can see: mysqld, httpd, java and mongod are usually up at the top.

I also see a bunch of Zabbix_Server's running as well.. Should that be normal? I don't understand why multiple of these processes would be running.
Another question I wanted to ask would be, would the zabbix server have any effect on my Windows Servers?
It seems like when this happens I have a very old Windows Server that kind of just comes to a halt.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Thank you for your reply.
Do you happen to know if I can view something on the Zabbix web portal to see if backups are scheduled to run at a certain time?
I am not sure why mongodb is installed on the same server. I was not around when Zabbix was introduced into the picture.

After messing with stuff on Friday I realized the issue is that the server/VM we have Zabbix on is having a hard time supporting whatever is happening on Zabbix on Friday.
Zabbix is not on its own bare-metal machine it is on a VM on one of our other servers and it looks like on Friday's it is just eating the hell out of our disks and causing the other VM's on that server to become unresponsive.
I am hoping I can figure out what is running so I can either move it so it is happening later at night or maybe figure out how to spread out the load of whatever it is doing throughout the day.

If its regular every Friday... Maybe its backup time ?
Why you have mongodb on same server... does not seem to be a very serious prod system, where you host multiple things on same server...
Multiple server processes is normal, they are described in docs.. https://www.zabbix.com/documentation..._process_types
