Can Zabbix execute a script or restart a service?

Hello.

I used to work with splunk and splunk had the capability to execute scripts.

Does zabbix have that ability to run a script or restart a down service? There are a number of ways I could go about this, but since we have Zabbix running on all our servers I thought I'd ask if this was possible or if Zabbix is strictly monitoring.

Yes, it is possible. Read the chapter on "Actions", and pay special attention to the "Operations" section on remote commands: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...cations/action
