    Alerts flood

    Hi,

    there were some problems with firewall i have zabbix server behind of. With every problem zabbix had lost communication with monitored devices, which generated thousands of email messages as alert was triggered. The effect is that I'm getting these emails for nearly whole day and it doesn't seem like it is going to end soon.

    Is there a way to erase unsent emails? In which table can it be done? What is the meaning of fields - status, retries, esc_step in table alerts?

    THanks

    Yes, you can do it this way for MySql:

    sudo mysql -u<user> -p<password>
    use zabbix;
    delete from escalations;
    update alerts set status=1 where status=0;
