Custom MIB file addition (snmp get/trap) to zabbix / zabbix proxy

    Hello All,

Is there any way, i can add custom MIB files for monitoring switches/controllers to zabbix and monitor them?
1). What is the folder / path to place custom MIB files so that when i add items with key/OID , zabbix proxy or zabbix server can take / locate these MIB files and gets the data from switch/controller.
If zabbix server and proxy is involed, and if i am monitoring the device, do i need to keep MIB files in both zabbix server or proxy?

2). Also, how about devices sending traps to zabbix server or proxy device and converting that traps to add it as an item? I heard some kind of cron script can be setup and all, but as of now not able to locate anything.

    Any pointers are greatly helpful.

    Thanks

iirc, zabbix uses net-smnp for it's snmp processing, so whereever it's looking for its mibs is where you'd put yours.

    this might help.

i don't know if for sure about the proxy as i don't use any. but if it compiles with --enable-snmp option, my guess is it needs a copy of the mib as well.
