    Flexible intervals problem

    Hi,
I'm trying to achieve this: running an item every hour, on minute 59.
Reading the documentation here and here, I came to the conclusion I need to use flexible interval of 60 seconds, in the time period:

    1-7,00:59-00:59;1-7,01:59-01:59;1-7,02:59-02:59;1-7,03:59-03:59;1-7,04:59-04:59;1-7,05:59-05:59;1-7,06:59-06:59;1-7,07:59-07:59;1-7,08:59-08:59;1-7,09:59-09:59;1-7,10:59-10:59;1-7,11:59-11:59;1-7,12:59-12:59;1-7,13:59-13:59;1-7,14:59-14:59;1-7,15:59-15:59;1-7,16:59-16:59;1-7,17:59-17:59;1-7,18:59-18:59;1-7,19:59-19:59;1-7,20:59-20:59;1-7,21:59-21:59;1-7,22:59-22:59;1-7,23:59-23:59

But trying this gives me an error: Incorrect time period.
Even trying more simple time period like 1-5,09:00-18:00;6-7,10:00-16:00 (as in the second link), gave me the same error. I'm using Zabbix 2.4.

Anyone know how to solve it? Or maybe a different way to achieve what I'm trying?

    Thanks,
    Roee.

First of all, Zabbix cannot guarantee that it will collect data in the specific time. It's always +-some seconds.

So, if you need something collected in exact second or minute - it's better to use CRON-scheduled process/shell-script to collect information and send it to Zabbix Server by zabbix_sender.

Sorry, "Flexible Interval" is not the correct tool for your task. IMHO
    Sincerely yours,
    Aleksey

      Thanks for the reply Aleksey.
I can live with it not being so accurate, but the problem is I can't make it work at all.
Using crontab is not really an option in my case.
