My name is Jean and i am currently working with zabbix for a university project.
We are trying to monitor docker containers using zabbix (elastic search,kibana ...) and we are looking to get some metrics for the running services from within the containers.
so fare we have 2 scenarios :
1- zabbix agent running on the host (using this setup, and docker template we are able to receive some metrics about the containers themselves but not the applications running in them)
2- zabbix agent container (so far i am unable to figure out how to get metrics from other containers through that container)
i have noticed that there is a template within zabbix to monitor elastic search, will it work if ES is in another container ? can i specify a zabbix templates for different containers ?
is it possible for you to recommend a possible way to do the needed ?
